This to allow you to easily log in to the workstation and find your last configuration as you left it, even if logging-in from a different device.  We store also some configuration data on your device in order to allow you to have different customisation depending on the device you use. We also monitor access times and activity periods with the aim of optimizing our service and make sure we have an adequately scaled infrastructure. All the data is stored on our servers on AWS.

Data Stored on Your Device

Data stored on your device is mostly related to the registration phase and to hold those parameters that need to be available before you log in (for example the app's appearance). We may use this data internally to improve the performance of the app or of our servers.  We do NOT share this data with any outside party. We do NOT store any cookie or tracking code on your device

Log In Token

An alpha-numeric string assigned by our server to provide secure access to the server after log-in.  Using a token-based secure recognition allows you to access the app without having to log in every time.  The token is erased if you log-in from another device.  For security purposes we erase tokens at certain time intervals or under some circumstance, in which case you will have to log-in again with your username and password

User Status and User Token State

User Status is used during the registration phase to determine if registration is complete and the user is active or if the registration is ongoing.  The user Token State determines if the Log In Token is valid or not

App Appearance

Each device can have the app set to have a Light Mode or Dark Mode appearance or wether the app will just follow the general device settings

iOS Current Tab

For iPhone and iPad, this stores the last visible tab so that this is shown next time the app is launched again

Data Stored on our Servers

We store all of your configuration on our server, so that you can use the latest one for any device you log in.  The following list includes only those parameters which are relevant from a privacy perspective, excluding those (mostly graphical parameters) that, whilst being used for the functioning of the app are not strictly relevant in this context (i.e. column widths, font sizes, colors for indicators, etc.). We may use this data internally to improve the performance of the app or of our servers.  We do NOT share any data with any outside party.

Machine Data

We store data on the last device you have used to log in, either an iOS or a macOS device. We store the device type (iPhone, iPad or Mac), the device screen size,  its operating system, the app version installed (including the Build version) and the hostname for the device.

We use this data exclusively to focus our development efforts to improve the performance of the app and our servers.  We do NOT tag your device, we do NOT have access to its serial number or MAC or IMEI.

We store the list of securities in your Live Monitor and in your News section and any time you make a change, this is saved on our server.  This is at the core of the could-based configuration so that each time you log in from a different device, you find exactly your data as you left it on the previous one.

User Settings

All the data you can modify in the Settings view (for the Live Monitor, Charts, News, Communications, etc) is stored in your configuration file and any time you make a change this is updated.
